{"id":1126,"date":"2013-02-02T14:50:05","date_gmt":"2013-02-02T22:50:05","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.cultofmoney.com\/?p=1126"},"modified":"2013-08-29T09:46:40","modified_gmt":"2013-08-29T17:46:40","slug":"do-you-go-into-your-bankdo-you-go-into-your-bank","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.cultofmoney.com\/do-you-go-into-your-bankdo-you-go-into-your-bank\/","title":{"rendered":"Do you go into your bank?"},"content":{"rendered":"<figure id=\"attachment_1127\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-1127\" style=\"width: 300px\" class=\"wp-caption alignleft\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.cultofmoney.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/02\/BankVault.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-1127\" title=\"BankVault\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/www.cultofmoney.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/02\/BankVault-300x240.jpg\" width=\"300\" height=\"240\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-1127\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Go into the vault, or just look at it from your computer?<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Some people like to go to the bank, and others think it is an outdated chore reminiscent of the 1950\u2019s.\u00a0 I can see both side of the coin.\u00a0 Going to the bank, even if it\u2019s on the way can be a bit of a pain at times, but there are some advantages too.<\/p>\n<p>Those who are generally younger I think fall into those who may not have been inside as bank in the last year.\u00a0 From their perspective, you can access all of your banking needs online.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Check you balances<\/li>\n<li>Make deposits from your phone<\/li>\n<li>Transfer money all online<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.bradfordexchangechecks.com\/category\/Personal-Checks.htm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Order personal checks<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>What happens if you need a loan, need a new credit card, or need help to solve some other type of problem?\u00a0 Email and chat support.\u00a0 OK then.\u00a0 Me, I like to go into the bank.\u00a0 Maybe I just have too much time on my hand (ha!) or maybe there are reasons to interact with real people from time to time?<\/p>\n<p>If you go into the bank, you can chat with tellers, talk to the manager, the investment professional, and others.<\/p>\n<p>When interacting with the tellers you can:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Ask them to put old coins and bills aside for you<\/li>\n<li>Get specific denominations if you need them.\u00a0 You ever try to get a $100 out of an ATM?<\/li>\n<li>Help with transferring money or accounts<\/li>\n<li>Flirt with the cute ones<\/li>\n<li>Getting rid of Big Bank fees<\/li>\n<li>Getting fees waived for cashiers checks, etc.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>You can also talk with the bank manager if you ever need :<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>In case you need a loan<\/li>\n<li>Getting rid of Big Bank fees<\/li>\n<li>Free safety deposit boxes<\/li>\n<li>Specials on CDs and account join perks<\/li>\n<li>Free notary services<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Personally, I see it as an investment of time in case I ever need help with anything.\u00a0 It\u2019s like bank-provided insurance.\u00a0 Who knows if I\u2019ll ever need help getting a fraud or stole identify matter fixed up.\u00a0 What happens if a direct despot goes missing?\u00a0 What if I just want to save a few bucks on bank services?\u00a0 All that can come from being a good, friendly personal customer.<\/p>\n<p>Granted, I don\u2019t do everything inside my bank. \u00a0I make fair use of my online access to set up automatic transfers and review my spending a few times a week.\u00a0 But I go get cash and other bank services fairly often as well.<\/p>\n<p>You what side do you fall on?\u00a0 Are you a man or women of the times who doesn\u2019t have the time to go to the bank?\u00a0 Do you even know where your bank is located other than your computer screen?<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Some people like to go to the bank, and others think it is an outdated chore reminiscent of the 1950\u2019s.\u00a0 I can see both side of the coin.\u00a0 Going to the bank, even if it\u2019s on the way can be a bit of a pain at times, but there are some advantages too.
