I’ve never done a review here but I’ve just discovered my new favorite book and couldn’t wait to tell someone about it! As an avid reader I don’t say that lightly.

For the past year or so I’ve been pretty darn disappointed in every business and finance book I’ve read. They all seem to rehash the same points over and over and over.

In fact it’s rare these days that I even finish a non-fiction book! It’s too much of a chore to make myself finish when I know I’m not going to get anything out of it.

Over the weekend I hit up the Amazon best sellers list and was instantly wondering what 6 Months to 6 Figures by Peter Voogd was going to be about. The title sounded slightly spammy to me and I was wondering how it became a best seller, so I checked it out.

I fell in love.

I ended up reading the book in a day. (It’s not a terribly long book to begin with.) And I found the principles in the book some of the best I’ve ever read.

Here are my absolute favorites.

One of the main differences between successful and unsuccessful people is the ability to work even when they don’t feel like it.

I, admittedly, have days (note: certainly not every day) where I put off work until the last second because “I don’t feel like doing it.” I’m tired, my kids are driving me nuts, or I just can’t find the “motivation.”

You can’t wait until you feel like getting something done to actually something done. If you did that all time you’d never accomplish anything.

I think this whole point can be boiled down to discipline. Discipline is doing something regardless of whether you want to or not, because you know it needs to be done. Discipline also breeds confidence and motivation.

Successful people are highly disciplined.

If you’re not confident in yourself no one else will be. One of the most important things you can do as a human being is build your own confidence account.

Successful People Perform Even When They Don’t Feel Like It

You Need to Invest in Yourself and Build Confidence
